In fact due the close proximity of the Black River mountain range which which drops directly to the seashore, this part of the island is well sheltered from wind. This is the main reason why, since long, dolphins had choose this spot as their favorite resting, hunting and breeding  place.
Our catamaran cruise for dolphin watch in Mauritius starts at 9h00 at Black River with a light breakfast on the catamaran before start sailing towards the dolphins’ location. It can take 15 minutes to 1 hour; all depend where the dolphins will be. Dolphin watch will last for around two hours. This is a once in a lifetime experience to see these magnificent mammals in their natural habitat.
Afterwards we will bring you to some key location for snorkeling before docking the catamaran near the Crystal Rock where you can enjoy some more snorkeling in the most beautiful, unpolluted lagoon which is known by natives of the island as their natural swimming pool!
In the meantime, the skippers will start barbecue preparation on board.
You will also be served barbecued lunch of fish and chicken accompanied with rice and mauritian sauces, pasta salad, green salad, garlic bread, locally bottled wine with the meal , blazed banana or pineapples , beer, local rum, fizzy drinks and flat water. We provide also vegetarian foods which must be requested at least 1 day prior to excursion
Drinks on board are served throughout the day, as required, without any limitation.
After lunch, you can stay to relax on the boat or ask the skipper to take you in our shuttle to Benitier Island to enjoy the beach.
